Exhibition: Bangkok Art and Culture Center

From August 10, 2009 to November 15, 2009 the Bangkok Art and Culture Center is hosting an exhibition in honor of His Majesty the King titled "Portrait of the King: The Art of Iconography". BLUEPANO photographed two ultra high resolution 85 megapixel panoramas for a mini exhibit titled "A Sympathetic Perceptible Magic". Each panorama was printed 2.8 meters tall by 6.7 meters wide and installed onto two "L shaped" walls of the same dimensions to form a 4x4 meter room with two entrances.Standing in the middle of the room, the viewer would get the impression that she was standing at the top of a tall building in the middle of bangkok with a 360 degree panoramic view. Looking through the "holes" in the walls reveals situations where you can find portraits of the King among the people of Thailand. This exhibition was designed by DesignLAB MISC which specializes in museum and exhibition design.
